Respectfully, I disagree with the extent of governor Cooper’s powers. As part of The Leadership Asheville program, I attended a session on NC government hosted by Dr. Chris Cooper of Western North Carolina University. One of the highlights of the discussion was the fact that the North Carolina governorship is one of the weakest in the nation.
